  The Polar Vortex and its Impact on Aviation The polar vortex, a vast mass of frigid air that circles the Arctic region, has lately made news owing to its influence on weather patterns across the Northern Hemisphere (Manney, et al., 2022).     The Airport and the Environment         Funding authorization for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs expired in FY2007's end. During this current process of reauthorization, methods for addressing every environmental impact associated with airport expansion as well as operations, are being debated. The issue is crucial to different stakeholders, especially those whose property and health values might be affected by these impacts (Greer, Rakas & Horvath, 2020). This act has been a significant contributor that has enabled the extension of networks. Crash of Asiana Flight 214

  As we can see from the official website of Boeing, it has been clearly stated that around 80 percent of the total number of air crashes that occur all across the world are caused by human errors; this not only includes the pilots but also other ground staff such as the Air traffic controllers, maintenance officials as well other mechanics and engineers. The rest 20 percent, mainly caused by faulty machines and sudden weather. The records before the year 1908 were utterly opposite to the current records. The most outstanding example of such an event was the crash of Asiana flight 214 on July 2013. This was also a Boeing 777 flight that crashed, injuring around 200 people and 3 casualties (Ekstrand 2022). Transportation Security Administration Threat Terrorism incident compromises security at the airport. When a passenger books a reservation, the name is checked into TSA state to urge the security to flight amenities, the first line of defense to confirm recognized or supposed terrorist does not walk into the airport or while ensuring the traveler’s privacy (Stewart & Mueller, 2017) . Corrosion caused deadly January chopper crash

       In January 2022, an AS565 Panther crashed due to corrosion in one of the engine components. This extremely rare corrosion within the turbine section caused one of the turbine blades to break off, sparking a fire that quickly spread. Two pilots lost their lives during this tragic event. Is there anything that could have avoided this tragedy?      As a helicopter engine mechanic, I know this type of corrosion would have been tough to detect through scheduled maintenance inspections. This helicopter was scheduled for a manufacturing inspection 250 hours after the accident. In this case, the corrosion would have probably been identified.       Corrosion discrepancies are often overlooked as they will always continue to form. Identifying the type of corrosion and the treatment required definitely makes an impact and could potentially save a life.
