Air Traffic Control Entities
Air Traffic Control Entities
Air traffic control (ATC) have the significant role to provide and maintain the safety of aviation. It is essential to control and manage the effective movement of aircraft safely and adequately. The services are often provided by the ground-based traffic controllers staffs (Strohmeier et al., 2019). There are various evidence-based practices which are implemented to manage the aircraft safety, however, there are ongoing new strategies which will help in enhancing the safety of aviation.
Based on the true event, Boston controllers who were successful in preventing the landing errors. The advance technology “new runway safety technology” has been effective in identifying the error of two aircraft lined up with wrong surfaces was identified and imposed quicker actions. The incorrect alignment, wrong-surface landings and related aspects are identified as the major hazard in aviation. The new advancement in technology and equipment helps in addressing the errors or other hazardous risks which helps in providing the aviation safety (Administration, 2020).
ATAP is another such another prime example of technology, which help the controllers to view efficiently and develop understanding about the regions of taxiways in the airport runways. It provides clear representation which helps in quicker identification of alarming situation. The continual ongoing process and key strategic approaches would also help in maintaining the aviation safety within the sector. It has also been found that, raising awareness in pilot community and improving the knowledge would help in ongoing management of aviation safety (Strohmeier et al., 2019). The research and development team should focus on continual improvement of aviation safety and identify various ways which will contributes in the safety of aviation.
