Passengers removed from flights for misconduct

Throughout the last few years Social Media has shown a lot of cases in which passengers would get removed from a commercial flight for misconduct. In some cases the passengers are dragged across the floor by the authorities. In some other cases, Flight Attendants are sent sent to the hospital as a result of the violent altercations. Why is this the latest trend and how do we stop it? This is a could be a sensitive topic as everyone might have a different opinion on each one of the individual altercations. The truth is that this topic makes me feel impotent; therefore, I would like to start an awareness for these kind of situations. For this reason, I immediately thought that this would be perfect for my blog.

I strongly believe that this continues to happen because passengers have yet to understand that Flight Attendants don't write the policies of the airlines. In a lot of cases they don't even agree with the policies; however, if they want to keep their jobs, they must enforce those policies. What this means is that before escalating the situation with a Flight Attendant, or any other crew member; you might want to consider taking your concerns up to their leadership.

In conclusion, I understand that at times passengers might be frustrated with certain airline policies; however, we must always keep in mind that those employees are not responsible for these policies. Therefore, we should treat them with the level of respect that they deserve.
