The Polar Vortex and its Impact on Aviatio

Image
The Polar Vortex and its Impact on Aviation The polar vortex, a vast mass of frigid air that circles the Arctic region, has lately made news owing to its influence on weather patterns across the Northern Hemisphere (Manney, et al., 2022). This weather phenomenon has resulted in freezing weather, causing flight cancellations, delays, and other disruptions to air travel (Pedatella & Harvey, 2022). Since it is a current and significant phenomenon that impacts many people, I opted to write about the polar vortex and its influence on aviation. As we all know, air travel is crucial for business and pleasure, and interruptions to air travel may be inconvenient, expensive, and even deadly. As the polar vortex moves south, it may bring cold, snowy, and icy conditions to areas that aren't used to such weather. Extreme weather conditions may make taking off and landing aircraft difficult or impossible, causing challenges for ground employees and airport equipment. Consequently, airlin...

Air Traffic Control Entities

Air Traffic Control Entities     Air traffic control (ATC) have the significant role to provide and maintain the safety of aviation. It is essential to control and manage the effective movement of aircraft safely and adequately. The services are often provided by the ground-based traffic controllers staffs (Strohmeier et al., 2019). There are various evidence-based practices which are implemented to manage the aircraft safety, however, there are ongoing new strategies which will help in enhancing the safety of aviation.      Based on the true event, Boston controllers who were successful in preventing the landing errors. The advance technology “new runway safety technology” has been effective in identifying the error of two aircraft lined up with wrong surfaces was identified and imposed quicker actions. The incorrect alignment, wrong-surface landings and related aspects are identified as the major hazard in aviation. The new advancement in technology and equipm...
